Hey, remember when we said we weren't going to tell anybody the names we'd decided on until the twins were born? Well if you're one of the people who were mad about that (Rachel, Renee, & Anna), don't worry, we still haven't settled on one single name. We have a list of like 15-20 that we've been throwing around, but we can't seem to come to consensus on any of them. He's vetoed a couple of my top names, I've vetoed a couple of his top names and the rest we're just kind of lukewarm on.
Boys are so much harder to name than girls! You can't be quite as creative or unique with boys names and you can't do as many creative spellings either. We want something that's not too common, not too wierd, not too soft-sounding, preferably a Bible name or a name that has a good meaning to it, and one that flows with our last name. This is turning out to be much harder than we thought.
Brandon took me on a date last night and we talked about names at dinner for over an hour. We came up with... nothing. And don't even get me started on middle names, we'll deal with that hurdle when we come to it - after we've finally picked out first names.
*Sigh* I always thought this would be so easy when I made my 'name list' in high school. Don't laugh... I know every single girl reading this made a name list in high school too. I just never actually thought about having to compromise with my husband. More than most people, I like things to go exactly my way. This is a huge character flaw of mine, I know it and I'm working on it. But it still isn't any easier to choose names with a man whose name choices are so much different than mine.
Anyways, these kids will have names by the time they're born. We will find the two perfect names and will agree on them 100%. I just hope they stay in there for a few more weeks to buy us some more time ;-)

Have you heard of this site called The Nymbler? You can plug in up to 6 names and it will generate similar names, maybe you could put in a couple of your faves and a couple of Brandon's and see if anything pops up that peaks your interest.
www.nymbler.com
If I come across anything else before you decide I'll send it your way.
Oh, and I too had the lists in HS (and elementary and middle school...I used to want a BIG family and had names for all my future kids, haha).
This sounds very familiar. Gary and I did the same thing when we were trying to name Brandon. His name was the only one we could both agree on and we were just days away...
I just kept thinking as we got closer to my due date that it would be easier to decide on a name... It wasn't. Case was nameless for a day. :) Good luck! Boy names are tough.
Do you know why boy names are harder...girls are taking them all!! Seriously! =)
We knew with the first two what to name them, but the last two were so HARD! It was kind of stressful for me. Try not to worry too much...you don't have to know before they are born. Once you see them, you will have a better idea and you will lots of time to finalize a name.
I actually have been praying for you a lot about this...I don't know why, but you and baby names keeps coming to my mind! Just last night as I was trying to fall asleep I was praying for peace for you about this...and that you would be able to carry those twins as long as you can...oh, and that the boys would flip. I was even thinking about asking if you have tried any natural ways to get them to flip...I did a lot of pelvic tilts and even went to a chiropractor who specializes in maternity (she practiced the Websters technique...I think)in my last weeks to get Auston to spin (he was face up not face down) and it worked! I think I have heard that swimming where you go under water and touch the floor of the pool sometimes helps the baby to think that up is down, or something. You will have to look into it because I don't know much for breech. You are doing such a wonderful job and even if they are born tonight it sounds like they will be SO healthy! Great job mama!
LOL...Glen and I already have a boys name picked out (and I'm not even pregnant!). It's girls names that we can't decide on.
I looked up some info for you in case you were wanting to try to avoid a c-section:
Here is a bit about the Websters Technique:
http://www.icpa4kids.org/research/pregnancy/webster.htm
And on that site you can search for a chiro. in your area that practices it. I searched the area you live in and there are quite a few. If your insurance would cover this I HIGHLY recomend it! For me it was a last minute try and I was able to go to two appointments (they say to try for three for best odds) and the appointment was great...it was like a massage...SO WONDERFUL!!! I have a sore lower left back in my pregnancies and she found that my right side was left side componsate! I was tender afterwards, but felt SO much better after a few hours!
I hope this helps and I hope you will at least try it...maybe even just to get a much needed massage out of it! =)
I have a great article that was written by Nicole A Whitehead, DC and you can go to her website at www.DrNicole.net
I hope you look into this more if you are curious. It is VERY safe, even for high risk pregnanies!
Blessings,
tarena
last one I promise!
I meant to write "my right side was all locked up and my left side was compensating." I hope that makes helps!
Compromise?? Who's carried the kids for nine months, anyway??
(Don't let Brandon read that... ;-) BAD friend!)
