Surprise!
I threw Brandon a surprise party last weekend to celebrate his graduation from law school. He's not really a big party guy, especially if he'd known it was all for him, so I knew that a surprise party was the way to go. We had it at a park near our old apartment and invited all of our East Coast friends who have supported us and prayed for us over the past few years. It was a wonderful celebration of Brandon's hard work and God's faithfulness to us.
And- miraculously- it stayed a surprise to Brandon! I thought for sure Jack and Cullen would spill the beans. I didn't tell them anything of course, but the day before they ran around town with me buying balloons and delivering the cake and drinks to our friends who were setting up at the park for us. I went to great lengths to cover my tracks and then just crossed my fingers and hoped my little chatterboxes wouldn't tell their Daddy all about what we did that day. And it worked!
We had a great time celebrating with our friends and playing at the park. Way to go Brandon, we love you and are so thankful and proud of all your hard work!

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit
We had so much fun while Grandma and Grandpa visited us last month! Here's what we did:
Went to the airplane park and pretended to shoot down airplanes with their new Nerf guns.... for the record, I have no idea where they got this from!
Played baseball
Went to the splash park on opening day!
Grandpa and Grandma took us to the aquarium in Baltimore
It was hard to get any good pictures inside the aquarium because it was so dark but suffice it to say that Jack and Cullen loved it and are still talking about it. Their favorite part was the dolphin show and they want to watch dolphin videos on Youtube and pretend to jump like dolphins all the time now.
We also played board games
And J & C helped Grandma bake a special cake for Mommy's birthday.... my very own fire truck cake! Just what I've always wanted! I am a very lucky lady to be so loved by these boys!
We also went to Annapolis after church one Sunday and enjoyed touring the Naval Academy and walking around town. It's one of our favorite little towns to visit and we're glad we could take Grandma and Grandpa there.
More baseball
Ate homemade popsicles
Learned how to ride a scooter
Did some crafts with Grandma
Celebrated Mother's Day
Played in the backyard with their new sprinkler
And finished pre-school for the year right before Grandma and Grandpa arrived!
And of course we celebrated Brandon's graduation from law school, but I already posted those pictures. Now Brandon is busy studying for the Bar 12-15 hours a day and the boys and I have settled back into our little routine. Just 6 more weeks though until he takes the Bar and (hopefully) is done studying forever! Then just 3 weeks after that, our little boy is due! We've got a busy and exciting summer ahead of us!
