Brandon Here:
We just enjoyed watching the inauguration as a family. I think everyone can agree this was a great day for our country. It always is amazing to witness a peaceful transition of power. In a minute, the most powerful man in the world becomes a private citizen and a private citizen becomes the leader of the free world and the commander in chief of the largest fighting force in the history of the world. We also can be very proud in how far out country has come in the last 60 years.
Even though everyone likes to point out how bad our country is, we certainly do have a LOT to be thankful for.
Jack and Cullen honored the occasion by sleeping, though someday I’m sure they’ll be proud to learn what they lived through.
We were all very content to watch the historic event on TV, even though it was taking place just a few minutes away. We thought about going, but it was obviously too hard with two infants.
We hope you will all join us in praying for our new president and for our country.

Hey Brandon! Your post made me feel very patriotic! I have high "hopes" for the next few years (so long as we don't get blown up by Guantanamo Bay "escapees"). I also like how this has become the "O-Malley Family Blog". (Except the sunset is unmistakeably Californian - Not DCian. :-) ) The baby picture posting (facebook or otherwise) is met with much excitement here on the west side - so no slacking off on that. Cheers to a new era!
