Well... technically I was already a mother last Mother's Day but I didn't know yet so it doesn't count.
Anyways, we had a wonderful day. We went to church in the morning and evening as usual but in between we went out to lunch and to the zoo! It was extremely crowded but we still had a lot of fun! And the best part about the zoo here is that it's FREE!!! Just like everything else in this city, it's paid for with your federal tax dollars for us to enjoy :-) Well, I'm not sure if that's entirely true, but I think it is...
The boys slept through most of their first zoo experience but Brandon and I enjoyed ourselves and we're excited to take the boys back in a few months when they might begin to show interest in animals. We think they'll really like it!
The boys even got me a very sweet card and pooled their money to buy me a pedicure while I'm in California next week! Thanks Jackson and Cullen (and Brandon for helping them pick it out)!
The weather yesterday was perfect too! It was sunny, not too hot, and not humid- just the way I like it! On the way home from the zoo we stopped at 7-11 and got slurpees. Cullen wanted a taste of mine, he's already got a sweet tooth I guess.

I'm such a ding dong friend and didn't even think about you on mother's day. dope. Anyway, happy mother's day!! You look so pretty in those pictures. That purple's a good color on you! Jack and Cullen keep getting bigger!!
I wish I could go to CA to see you... oh well, just a couple more months!
