I threw Brandon a surprise party last weekend to celebrate his graduation from law school. He's not really a big party guy, especially if he'd known it was all for him, so I knew that a surprise party was the way to go. We had it at a park near our old apartment and invited all of our East Coast friends who have supported us and prayed for us over the past few years. It was a wonderful celebration of Brandon's hard work and God's faithfulness to us.
And- miraculously- it stayed a surprise to Brandon! I thought for sure Jack and Cullen would spill the beans. I didn't tell them anything of course, but the day before they ran around town with me buying balloons and delivering the cake and drinks to our friends who were setting up at the park for us. I went to great lengths to cover my tracks and then just crossed my fingers and hoped my little chatterboxes wouldn't tell their Daddy all about what we did that day. And it worked!
We had a great time celebrating with our friends and playing at the park. Way to go Brandon, we love you and are so thankful and proud of all your hard work!
