Don't worry Mom, I was just kidding about taping pacifiers over their mouths, I know better than that. But in all seriousness we did have somewhat of a rough day yesterday. I think I spent the majority of the day trying to hold pacifiers in their mouths as they screamed bloody murder. I tried to put one in the swing while holding the other, I tried giving them an extra bottle of formula after breastfeeding but nothing worked. Thankfully today is going infinitely better. They are much calmer and we even managed to fit bath time in.

They will be 5 weeks old tomorrow and they have already changed sooo much. They've gained 2 pounds each since birth but are still only about as big as the average singleton baby is when they're born. Over the past couple of weeks they've learned to make eye contact for longer and they love staring at faces and lights. They also are beginning to become more aware of their hands. Instead of flailing their arms and hitting themselves in the face they now mainly rub their faces and suck on their hands. They also grasp onto your hands if you're feeding them a bottle or holding a pacifier in their mouth. Sometimes (very rarely) they even hold their own pacifiers in their mouths for a few seconds before spitting them out. They can hold their heads up for a while now and when they're on their tummies they love to push up and look around.

And best of all, last night they slept for 4 1/2 hours in a row!! That is probably because they wore themselves out crying all day yesterday, but whatever the reason Brandon and I are rejoicing! The night before they only slept for 2 and 3 hour stretches, though, so we'll see how tonight goes.

I wasn't worried a bit Kimmie. You are a great mom. Wish I could be there to help on those tough days. I miss you and can't wait to see all of you. In a few weeks you will have so many of us to hold the boys that you will miss their fussiness. Love, Mom
