Bugs

I'll warn you- this is totally creepy. This weekend, Brandon was mowing the lawn when he spotted a spider right outside our sliding door. Not just any spider though. A black widow. Trying to crawl into our house. Yikes! He quickly got some bug spray and annihilated that thing. Then he put it inside Jack and Cullen's bug jar to show them. They've been carrying it around for a few days admiring it. We are disposing of it tonight but the boys wanted to take a picture of themselves and their spider friend before he's gone forever.

Speaking of bugs, it's no secret that one of J & C's favorite movies is the Jungle Book. And one of their favorite parts (besides those marching elephants) is the scene where Baloo and Mowgli eat some ants. I'm sure you know where this is going... 

The other night Brandon took the boys to check the mail and next to the mailbox some ants were crawling around. Well, Cullen dropped to the ground and licked those ants right up! They both thought it was pretty funny but when I asked him if they'd tasted good, he shook his head no. Hopefully, he learned his lesson!
